Images, fonts and licences

All licences allow commercial use and none ask you to credit us. Every image and font in a template is either our own or free to use commercially, and each template lists them on its licences page.

The licences in short#

The licences comparison on the store: rows for own site, client site, end products, people, commercial use, credit and resale, with columns for Personal, Team and Full Access.
The full comparison is on the licences page.
  • An end product is one website for one business, product or person, on one domain and its subdomains. A redesign of the same site stays the same end product.
  • Client work is allowed. A personal licence covers one end product, which can be a client's site. Team and Full Access cover unlimited end products.
  • You can't resell or share the template files, use them in a template, theme or kit you sell, or offer them inside a website builder or app.
  • Templates bought on a marketplace (Framer or Webflow) follow that marketplace's licence.

Images#

Photos of people, teams and offices are placeholders from Pexels or made by us; product mock-ups are drawn in code, and many films are our own. Every one is listed with its source on the template's licences.html.

Halden's Licences page: what you may use, and how, with sections for fonts and the film.
Each template's licences page lists every photo, film and font with its source.
  1. Replace people and customers

The people, companies, numbers and quotes are fictional. Swap in your own team and customers before launch.

  2. Replace the product mock-ups

Use real screenshots exported at twice the display width, in the same aspect ratio.

  3. Keep films light

Keep a hero film muted and looping, under the size the template's Start here page gives (Halden: 6 MB), and update its poster image too.

Fonts#

Every font is from Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License, so you can use it commercially at no cost. Most HTML editions load them from Google Fonts; some ship the font files. The prompt pack and the WordPress themes self-host them. To change a font, swap its link or files and the family name in tokens.css.

Icons and code#

Icons are drawn for each template as inline SVG and are covered by your licence, like the code.
