Deploying

HTML and Astro editions build to plain static files, so any static host works, and the big three have free plans. Pick one and follow its tab.

Before you deploy#

  • Replace placeholder people, customers, numbers and quotes (see Images, fonts and licences).
  • Set your domain in canonical and social tags (Astro: site in astro.config.mjs).
  • Connect your forms, or remove them.
  • Delete pages you don't use and remove them from the menus.

HTML edition#

There is nothing to build: you publish the folder as it is.

shell
# from the template folder
$ npx vercel
# then, when the preview looks right:
$ npx vercel --prod

Astro edition#

Build command npm run build, output directory dist. All three hosts detect Astro when you connect a Git repository:

text
Add New → Project → import the repository
Framework preset: Astro (detected)
Build command: npm run build · Output directory: dist

Or from your machine: npx vercel

Your domain#

Add the domain in your host's dashboard and follow its DNS instructions (usually a CNAME for www and an A or ALIAS record for the bare domain). HTTPS is automatic on all three.

Forms#

Template forms show their success message but send nothing until you connect them. Set the form's action to a form service such as Formspree or Basin, or use Netlify Forms if you host there.

Prompt pack builds#

If your agent built the site from a prompt pack, its deploy.md has steps for your stack and host. The agent never deploys or creates accounts without your go-ahead.
